MIT physics professor on Conan

I don’t really like Late Night with Conan O’Brien, but I have to say last night’s show was hilariously good. Why? An MIT physics professor was on. All right. That’s not all. What can I say? MIT is my alma mater.

Unlike Jay Leno, who is comfortable writing his own materials, Conan has been struggling to fill every night’s show since the writers’ strike started. He even resorted to spinning his wedding ring. Frankly it was a little pathetic, but who would’ve thought it would bring about arguably the best Conan O’Brien show?

Conan has been trying to break his 41-second ring-spinning record to no avail. Finally he called up Prof. Peter Fisher, a physics professor at MIT, and asked for help. Prof. Fisher is your stereotypical MIT professor —— a bit nerdy, which can be comical in a right situation. What made the night hilarious was Conan’s interview skill —— his strong suit. So, did the professor help Conan break the record? See for yourself.

  1. This segment of Conan is hysterical! I wonder if perhaps the porosity of the professors higher quality table surface made his and his daugheters results better than Conan’s. The thing I found the most funny was when the professor was oblivious when Conan needed to pick up the pace!
